We only drink local - it’s easy - most visitors know about our fantastic vineyards but did you know that the area was also spoilt for choice for vodka, gin, whisky and beer!!
This week is all about the beer - we love our local micro breweries and the beers they brew, and we would love you to discover them too, so let us introduce them and their teams ...
The Arrowtown Brewing Company - our most local and our favourite is the Lake Haze IPA but we might be a little biased!
Altitude Brewing - Brewed for Adventure and we love their Powerday Pilsner!
Cargo Brewery - with two beer gardens - at Gibbston Valley and at Gantley's Pub at the foot of Coronet Peak - these guys also serve yummy food that you can wash down with great beer. Love their lager!
We love our local micro breweries - please pay them a “brewery door” visit, enjoy them at the local pubs and restaurants or bring a few back to your Cottage and crack them at the pinot beer pit while watching the sunset on the lake and Crown Range!

Luxurious accommodation overlooking Lake Hayes We had a delightful five stay at the cottages. They are very well appointed with two equally comfortably bedrooms. A great kitchen if you want to cook and a cosy living area with a potbelly which gave out incredible heat. Amazing views over Lake Hayes.
